A Pandemic Pivot

This couple had to majorly pivot when their March 2020 wedding was struck by the onset of Covid-19. We helped them scale back the guest list, find a new venue, and postpone to a safe celebration that summer.
Planning It Safe
In addition to working all our usual planning and design magic, we worked overtime to make it a pandemic-safe environment, including socially distant seating, Covid testing for all vendors and guests, and live streaming for 300 virtual guests. Guests tuning in also received their own personally delivered mini versions of the wedding cake to make the experience feel even more connected.
Creating An Outdoor Chapel
Though an indoor ceremony was off the table, we recreated the look and feel of one for the outdoors. Inspired by the authentic stained glass windows our clients sourced from overseas, we continued the chapel aesthetic with a stunning rose garden to further immerse guests.
And a Glowing Reception
The outdoor reception featured socially distant seating, each setting rich with orchid displays, chandeliers, and mirrored tables to reflect all the arrangements. Hand sanitizer labels acted as escort cards, and fireworks stole the show when the sun went down.
Party Like The State Fair
Our bride wanted to surprise her guests with an out-of-the-box after-party, so our team created a State Fair-inspired party with the sights and sounds of a carnival. As a nod to the couple’s first meeting on a United flight, the photobooth included a playful “United in Love” neon sign.
